Gospel Distribution Coordinator Tasks

For the pastor and the Gospel distribution coordinator

 

Pastor, enlist a Gospel distribution coordinator for your church. Seek out someone who is passionate about sharing the Gospel and can organize this effort. The Gospel distribution coordinator should be able to complete the following tasks: 

  

1.   Coordinate a community-wide Gospel distribution blitz. Across Montana 2010 involves a seven-day Gospel distribution blitz, called “Sowing the Seed.” The coordinator will develop a distribution plan and enlist church members for door-to-door canvassing of the community.

 

2.   Let God direct the Gospel distribution effort. How is God leading the church to get the Gospel into the hands of every individual/every family in your community during the Gospel distribution blitz? The coordinator will spend time seeking specific direction from the Lord.

 

Be diligent about involving everyone in the church in Across Montana 2010! Ask yourselves: What can the preschool children do? elementary-age children? youth? collegians and young adults? median adults? senior adults? Take care to shape an age- appropriate gospel distribution for each generation represented in the congregation.

 

3.   Enlist helpers to assist in the Gospel distribution initiative. In addition to door-to-door canvassing of the community, you may also want to host an evangelistic event such as a block party, movie night, open-air concert, or wild game dinner. (Resources available online at www.ArossMontana.org.) The coordinator may enlist others to facilitate these and similar activities.

 

Also, the the Gospel distribution coordinator will participate in the Harvest Sunday planning.

 

4.   Begin in March to plan for the September blitz. March 4-6, 2010 at MPact Montana in Helena, the MTSBC will offer training for Gospel distribution coordinators and helpers. Your church’s coordinator and Gospel distribution helpers are encouraged to attend. 

 

In early April, the coordinator will organize his/her helpers. They will use the five months between April and the blitz (September 11-18) to prepare church members for their involvement in the Gospel distribution initiative of Across Montana 2010.
